We are now beginning our Spring Break!

March 26, 2021

Hello Pan American Families,

We cannot believe how quickly this year is going as we are now beginning our Spring Break!

We, at Pan American Academy, are looking forward to our return to in-person instruction. We continue using guidance from health officials at the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control,Philadelphia Department of Public Health and School District of Philadelphia to determine our transition to in-person instruction. We have put many safety measures in place over the last several months to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff and families. As we mentioned previously, we upgraded our HVAC to increase filtration of the particles in the air and the airflow, installed hand sanitizing stations throughout the building including classrooms and offices, increased cleaning times throughout the building, installed plexiglass on all student desks, our staff were included in Philadelphia’s schools vaccination efforts, we have the SchoolPass screener which all staff and students complete daily, and weekly surveillance testing.

The surveillance testing is designed to be done weekly for staff and students in the building. This was implemented with all staff that have been working from the building.

With all of these safety measures in place, and with the new guidance from the health officials we are prepared to begin our transition back on Monday, April 19th for students who have been enrolled in the In-Person Learning Model.

Calendar updates

Students who are enrolled in the In-Person Model will come to Pan American on Monday, April 12th for the surveillance testing. More information on the specifics will follow in our communication the week we return from Spring Break.

We remind you that if your child(ren) will return for in-person learning be sure to have them practice wearing a face mask. Here are some tips for selecting and properly wearing a mask.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please email us at information@panamcs.org.

Have a wonderful Spring Break!
