Teaching Fellow

The Teaching Fellow will report to the designated Assistant Principal and will work under the direction of an elementary classroom teacher in providing another layer of support to students. Throughout the year, a Teaching Fellow will practice small group and whole group classroom management and gradually take on additional lead-teaching responsibilities, planning and executing more lessons. As a co-teacher, a Teaching Fellow will work with a team to achieve Pan American Academy’s ambitious goals for student character and academic achievement. The Teaching Fellow will grow and develop through a combination of personalized instructional coaching, and professional development on academics, school and classroom culture. It is anticipated that the Teaching Fellow will receive teaching credentials and become a full-time teacher within two years of becoming a Teaching Fellow.
