Behavior Support Assistant

A Behavior Support Assistant (BSA) gathers and charts data related to student behavior and models behavior intervention strategies, and assists instructional staff in the implementation of Behavior Support Plans (BSP). Under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Intervention Services, the BSA will assist with and provide extended classroom support in the following areas: behavior data tracking/progress monitoring, classroom/student observations, student transition support, working 1:1 with students for short term emergency situations, and be a member of the De-Escalation Response Team (DRT).
